Scholarships – Call for EOIs

The Alcohol Tobacco and other Drugs Council of Tasmania are offering scholarships to cover the registration fee for Lived Experience Advocates to attend the 2023 ATDC Conference, Our Strength; Our People, to be held in Hobart on 21-22 June. The scholarships will be awarded to current Lived Experience Advocates who have been active within the ATDC’s Lived Experience Advocate Service in the last 12 months.

What is on offer:

• Up to twelve scholarships that include:
  • complimentary full conference registration (valued up to $440),
• An additional four travel bursaries for LEAS who reside on north or north west coast that received a scholarship (above). Travel bursaries include:
• three nights accommodation at the Hotel Grand Chancellor (organised by the ATDC, value $600 per person),
• reimbursement for reasonable travel expenses (value up to $200 per person).

Successful applications will be required to:

• Register for the Conference via a complimentary registration link provided by 22 May 2023,
• Attend the Conference in person and participate in the sessions,
• Provide a 250 word post Conference report/summary that may be used by the Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Council across various communications and marketing platforms.

• short (200 word) outline that details:
  • Why you are passionate about the alcohol, tobacco and other drug sector
  • Which area of the AOD sector are you most passionate about seeing growth and change in?
  • How will the presentations, workshops, and networking opportunities facilitate your learning?
